What are the Float Rooms like?
How are the float rooms kept clean? Is it clean?
At Float Into Wellness, we have employed the highest level, newest floatation technology for your float experience. Each room employs two high power filtration systems, high powered UV lights, and automatic hydrogen peroxide disinfectants that continually filter and disinfect the water. We rigorously measure and maintain the pH, alkalinity, specific gravity, and temperature of the rooms. In between floats, trained float technicians manually disinfect all surface areas and ensure the water is completely clear. In addition, all floaters must shower before and after their session. This is most likely to be the cleanest water you will ever be in.
Can I get locked or stuck in the float room?
No, there are no locks on the float room so there is no way to get stuck or locked inside. As a matter of fact, you can leave the door wide open and all the lights on if you prefer. You are in complete control of your float experience at all times.
Is my float room private?
Your float tank is inside your own private float suite, which also includes your own private sitting or changing area during your visit.
Is there enough air in the room?
The room is designed not to be airtight. It is open and spacious and there is a plentiful air supply.

EVERYONE! You don’t have to be an athlete or active to reap the benefits of floating. Nor do you have to be in pain. Floating is an amazing experience that everyone can benefit from.

Should I float if I am pregnant?
With the okay from your doctor, it is perfectly fine to float while pregnant. Floating offers great benefits for pregnant women. Many moms-to-be find floating helps to relieve joint pain, inflammation, and other discomforts of pregnancy while creating a bonding experience with their unborn child.
Can I float if I have my period?
Yes, you can! For hygiene reasons, you should use appropriate sanitary products as you would for swimming. We keep tampons stocked at the front desk for emergencies, ask if you need.
I’m claustrophobic, will I be able to float?
Float room options allow you to leave your float room door open all the way or a little. You also control whether you want your lights fully on, partially on or if you want complete darkness. These functions can be controlled from anywhere in your suite including inside the float room. The entrance and exit of a float room are similar to a shower stall and even people with extreme claustrophobia have reported experiencing no problems while floating. Each float room is also equipped with a two way intercom, so you can easily access a person with the touch of a button. If at any time you require assistance, let us know and we will offer non-judging, friendly assistance.
Can I float if I dyed my hair, have a perm or use keratin on my hair? Will this ruin my hair?
Yes, you can float, but there is no guarantee that the salt won’t strip some color or chemicals from your hair. If you have chemicals in your hair from a recent dye or perm, you MUST be sure that the water running through your hair is fully clear before you can float. You may also choose to wear a bathing cap which we sell at the front desk.
Is there a minimum age requirement to float?
There are no age requirements, but all guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and a minor waiver form must be completed.
I’m a large / small person, will I float, and will I fit?
People of all shapes and sizes are welcome and can enjoy floatation therapy. If you’re under 7.5 feet tall or less than 500 pounds, you should be able to float. Beyond that, we will have to find out together.
Can 2 (or more) people float in the same room at once?
Our rooms are designed for single person use. However, if you want to go in with someone, call or ask at our front desk.
Are there situations in which I will not be permitted to use the flotation room?
We will not allow you to float if you have any of the following conditions:
- Infectious skin or respiratory disorders
- Open wounds
- Incontinent bowel and/or uncontrollable diarrhea
- Epilepsy or serious mental conditions including suicidal without a doctor’s consent
- A high-risk pregnancy without doctors consent
- Have colored or permed your hair and have not washed it yet or that when under running water does not run clear.
- Under the influence of any drug or alcohol
- Under 18 without parental presence
What to Expect During Your Float Session
What is flotation therapy?
Flotation therapy utilizes a specially designed private float room that has the mixture of perfect temperature water and therapeutic grade salt which provides immense health and wellness benefits by simply floating in it.
Should I shower before and after floating?
We have a private and fully stocked shower that is available for your use before and after entering the float room. All guests must shower before floating.
Will water get into my ears while I’m floating?
Since the water in the float room will come up past your ears, we recommend using ear plugs. We provide one pair at your first session for you to keep. We always have them available for purchase at the front desk.
What if I can’t swim or if I fall asleep while floating? Will I drown?
Due to the high saline content of the water, people become so buoyant that it is impossible to go below the surface of the water. Even if you fall asleep, nothing will happen; you will simply feel very well rested.
What should I do if I wear contacts?
You may choose to float either with or without them. The choice is completely up to you. If you choose to float without them, please be sure to bring your case and any solution you might need.
Will this hurt my skin? Can I get dehydrated from soaking for so long?
The salt water solution is actually healthy for your skin and leaves you feeling soft and silky without pruning. If you have cuts, scratches or have just shaved, salt water can sting a little (just like in nature), but subsides quickly. Vaseline is provided in your changing suite to protect any sensitive areas.
What’s the longest someone has been in the room?
We recommend floating between sixty and ninety minutes to start. You can work your way up to a longer float at later sessions. Experienced floaters have been known to float for 12 hours in a single session.
Will I be bored? What is it like?
Compared to the constant activity in our everyday lives, floating involves little stimulation to allow for maximum relaxation. As this is a new experience, it will take some time to adjust to. We try to encourage our guests to breathe deeply, open their eyes and let go of any expectations and relax into the float. Overall, every experience is unique to each person.
Will I get cold, like staying too long in a bath?
No, this is another fantastic feature about floating. Smart technology maintains a consistent and perfect water temperature, no matter how long you float.
Preparing For a Float Session
What should I bring to my float session?
We will provide you with everything you need such as towels, robe, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We do suggest that wearing a sandal or flip flop is best when going between rooms or if you booked multiple services. However, feel free to bring your own bath products, personal towel and your swimsuit if that makes you feel more comfortable. Remember to bring any personal items such as a brush or contact solution and case.
Do I go naked or wear a swimsuit?
Because you will be floating in your own private float suite, which includes a private changing area and private float room, you don’t need to bring a swimsuit. We provide robes for you to wear from the Shower Suite to your private float suite. You can wear a swimsuit if you choose to and you may even wear just undergarments or street clothes. No shoes are allowed inside the tank.
What should I do to prepare for a float session?
You should plan to arrive about 15 minutes prior to your appointment. We also recommend that you avoid shaving for 24 hours before your appointment since salt water can irritate freshly shaved skin.

I made an online appointment — when will you charge my credit card?
One Stand Alone Appointment – Your credit card will be charged 24hours before your appointment. Appointments may be cancelled or changed at anytime up to 24 hours prior to your appointment. Changes can be made online in your account. Please note that answering machine messages and emails will not be considered as a valid form of cancellation, you must cancel through your online booking account. You will be charged the full price of the appointment if anything less than 24 hours notice has been given. Appointments can be gifted or sold to someone else, but there will be absolutely no refunds given after the deadline has been missed. There are no exceptions to this policy.
Do you offer a discount?
If you sign up for one of our memberships, you can save up to 25% per float. Our Float More membership allows you to give your appointments to up to 3 friends or family members.
What’s the difference between Single Float Sessions and Monthly Memberships?
Monthly Memberships yield a high discount rate for float sessions and include different perks depending on the level. All monthly memberships are for 6 months and will be billed automatically each month, unless cancelled (after the first 6 months).
Single Float Session – A one-time price for one float
Single Monthly Memberships– Includes float sessions at a discounted rate. You can also purchase additional float sessions at an even lower rate.
Float More & Save More Monthly Memberships – Includes float sessions at discounted rates. With the Float More & Save More Membership, you have the option to share float sessions with friends and family members at no additional costs. You can also purchase additional float sessions at the lower price.
Prepay Bonus Option – Can be added onto any monthly membership. By purchasing 1 full year in advance you are eligible for 1 extra free float.
How do I cancel a monthly membership?
You can email us anytime to cancel and your contract will specify all the details in clear and plain language.
Call and speak to any of our float technicians to receive a cancellation number and confirmation.

How often should I float?
While the benefits of flotation therapy can be felt on your first experience, the more you float, the greater the positive outcomes. Like any exercise or therapy, the benefits are cumulative. By the 2nd or 3rd time, you should be able to relax more and really enjoy the benefits the experience has to offer.
