HaloYoga® & BreathWorks® Classes — Featuring Pranayma & Meditation

HaloYoga® Classes

Yoga and Halotherapy all at the same time, in the same class! Our website is filled with all the details of what Halotherapy aka Salt Room Therapy is all about! From its well known respiratory benefits to its reported mental/mood boosting abilities, our Himalayan Salt Room is an amazing place to be and an amazing place to do YOGA!

All of our classes are taught by Nicolette Reiser who has logged thousands of hours teaching everyone from preschoolers to senior citizen’s, from brand new beginners to seasoned yogis and athletes and everywhere in between since beginning her yoga journey in 2006. She knows how to make every single person comfortable and how to modify and adjust every single pose so that you get the feel of one on one teaching, even in a group class. Our small class size (limited to 6) gives you the chance to really connect with your teacher during class and get the proper feedback and adjustment you need.

BreathWorks® Classes — Featuring Pranayma & Meditation

This class combines two iconic healing systems for the respiratory system- Halotherapy and Paranyama and Guided Meditation! Take a look around our website and you will find tons of information, including scientific studies, that prove the benefits that Halotherapy aka Salt Room Therapy has on the respiratory system. But now we are excited to share information about a thousands of years old, time tested branch of yoga called Pranayama, which is also all about the respiratory system. Pranayama is the ancient science of using breathing exercises to clear physical, mental and emotional obstacles that are keeping you from feeling whole and healthy. By learning how to regulate and properly utilize the breath you will begin to feel healthier and even happier- just by breathing more correctly!

Every week you will be guided through various and different pranayama techniques that can range in producing deep relaxing feelings in your body and mind to supercharging your mind and mood, from expanding and strengthen your lungs to even alleviating cold & flu symptoms. Nicolette, will be your guide every week, she has studied and taught Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation since 2006 and she will bring her extensive knowledge and amazing teaching skills to give you something good every week!

HaloYoga® FAQ

What should I bring for class?
Just yourself. To keep tings tidy, we provide salt ready mats for you. We will also provide any props such as straps, blocks or blankets as needed. You can bring water with you as long as it is unflavored and in a sealed container, but we also sell water bottles on site for $1.

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move around in. Yoga pants, leggings, sweatpants and basketball shorts are popular options. For your top, a comfortable shirt that form fits even slightly is recommended, so that when you fold forward it does not rise up the back. Some people like to wear grippy socks or yoga wrist braces, that is up to you, but not necessary.

I have never done yoga/I am not flexible, can I still come?
Each class on our schedule has a full description of what the class is about as what level can join in the class.

What are the prices for HaloYoga®?
Each class on our schedule includes all the pricing options available. Remember you are getting a Halotherapy Session and a Yoga Class all in one- so the pricing will, of course, be different.

What if I have trouble getting up or down on the floor, can I still do yoga?
Absolutely! Our teacher, Nicolette, has vast experience in teaching multi-level classes so you can take any of our Beginners+ HaloYoga® classes from a chair. While choosing the chair option you might even find yourself able to do some of the poses without the chair, but that is totally up to you in the moment. We will provide the proper chair, let us know ahead.

BreathWorks® FAQ

What should I bring for class?
Everything you need is provided, just wear comfortable clothing.

What are the prices for BreathWorks® Classes?
All of the pricing options are listed in the actual class description. Remember you are getting a Halotherapy Session plus Pranayama instruction plus Guided Meditation all in one- so the pricing, of course, will be different.

Can I bring water into the sessions?
Of course, water is always allowed in our facility as long as it is in a sealed bottle or cup. We always have water available for purchase in our lobby for just $1.

General Classes FAQ

Do I need to sign up ahead for these classes?
Yes, we need a definite head count for each class.

What does minimum students required mean?
This means we need to have at least 2 people registered for the class in order to have it, so it is best to sign up as soon as you know you are going to attend. If in the event, we do not have enough people, we may not have the class and in that case we will call and message you and of course you will not be charged.

Can I use my package or passes from the regular salt sessions such as Quick Fix 5, etc for any of these HaloYoga or Breathworks Classes?
No, the HaloYoga® and the Breathworks® classes combine multidimensional healing by providing more than one service at the same time. So the pricing is different. The pricing for each is clearly listed in the class descriptions.

Halo Services

HaloReiki®

HaloReiki® is the combination of traditional Reiki and Halotherapy all in one 45 minute session.

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a healing method recognized by the National Institute of Health. Reiki is a non-invasive practice in which the practitioner places her hands lightly on or just above the client with the intent to transmit high-frequency healing energy. This technique is used to alleviate physical, mental, emotional & spiritual imbalances which the body is now experiencing as dis-ease. The Reiki energy brings the clients back into balance so that healing can occur.

Taking place in our stunning Himalayan Salt Room, the halogenerator will be dispersing pharmaceutical-grade salt into the room during your entire Reiki session so that you are getting your salt session and reiki session all in one!

Nicolette, our Reiki Practitioner, has been practicing Reiki since 2010. She lives and breathes Reiki- the principles and the practice. FAQs

YOGA FAQ

What time should I arrive?
10-15 minutes before class starts. Doors close 5 minutes before class time, no students will be permitted in after that time.

What should I bring?
Bring a mat, some water, and dress comfortably. If you don’t have a mat, you can rent them for $1. Wear comfortable clothes, no need for special clothing.

What do you mean by a diverse yoga studio?
It means that yoga is available for anyone who wants to try it. People sometimes mistakenly believe that they are too out of shape or are not flexible enough for yoga. Differences and challenges such as obesity, autism, agoraphobia, anxiety, arthritis, ADD or any other perceived challenges are welcomed. Any issues that you feel are unique, please let us know. Our studio is beginner-friendly.

I’m not flexible (or I’m overweight, or out of shape). Can I do yoga?
Absolutely! Here at Comfort and Balance every size and shape is welcome. There is no judgment and no competition. Yoga is about helping you feel good about yourself.

Can my child take yoga?
We welcome students ages 13 and up in all our public classes. Occasionally, we offer specialized classes for children 12 and under.

I’m new to yoga, which class should I take?
Almost any class on our schedule. We keep our class sizes small so our teachers can give you the help & confidence you need to feel comfortable whether it is your first class or your hundredth. If you have any questions or concerns, discuss them with your teacher. Not sure which class to try? Call us at 732-750-8767 or contact us via email – we’re glad to help you!

MASSAGE FAQ

What is a massage session like?
During your initial appointment, you will be asked background information about your state of health and any concerns or questions you may have and we’ll go over my policies. It is a good idea to allow extra time, at no charge, for this.

As you prepare for the massage, I will leave the room to give you privacy to undress and make yourself comfortable under the sheet on the massage table. Completely undressing or wearing thong or brief type underwear works best. During the massage, your body is covered with a sheet except for the section being massaged.

Once you are covered and on the massage table, we are ready to begin. Music and lighting are adjusted to your liking. I have a large selection of relaxing music to choose from, but you are welcome to bring your own MP3 player. After the massage, I again leave the room to give you complete privacy when getting dressed.

What if I drool, snore or pass gas while having a massage?
These are completely natural occurrences of the body and nothing to be ashamed of. I can say honestly that you would not be the first to do this, but at the same time, I truly couldn’t recall the people or sessions to which they have happened. As a massage therapist I am completely focused on your energy, muscle tension and my massage techniques, so any of the body’s involuntary actions do not phase me one bit. I am a trained and licensed massage therapist.

I’m worried about the privacy of my body.
Your privacy is one of my top concerns. Under no circumstances will I touch or look at your private areas. They are not part of my massage routine and are covered by your sheet during the whole session.
